Deprecated: On the element <pub-date>, in the Archiving and Publishing Tag Sets, this @ attribute is deprecated in favor of the @ and @ attributes. In all Tag Sets, on the element <issn>, this @ attribute is deprecated in favor of the @ attribute (possibly with the @ attribute). Using two attributes enables the expression of both the format/medium and the lifecycle type of the publication instead of forcing the selection of one or the other.

Definition: Deprecated pre-combination of the format/medium of a document with one or more events from its lifecycle, for example, “epub” for publication in an electronic format or “ppub” for publication in print.
